Athletic Club have teamed up with the NFL to show two NFL matches on giant screens in San Mames’ VIP lounge on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27).
Doors open at 18:30 and the first NFL game, Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers, will kick off at 19:00. That will be followed by Kansas City Chiefs vs Dallas Cowboys, which is scheduled to start at 22:30.
Tickets are free, but must be reserved on Athletic Club’s website in advance. However, the club have stated that a pre-registered ticket will only guarantee you a spot if you turn up before 19:00. After that, they will let in anyone who comes along, whether they have a ticket or not, until maximum capacity is reached.
Besides the two fixtures, there will be food and drink available, as well as plenty of games and quizzes led by two presenters, local comedian Julen Axpe and Spanish NFL commentator Javi Gómez.
The event is being held in San Mames’ ‘Sala Norte’ (North Hall), which can be accessed via Door E on the stadium’s north end.
